JENNIFER ANDERSON
My name is Jennifer Anderson. I am 37 and live in Creal Springs, Illinois. I was born with an inherited disease known as Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). I have been married for 15 years to my high school sweetheart. Together, we have an 11-year-old daughter, Hannah, who too, was born with PKD. I required a transplant in 2004 and due to an infection, it failed in 2009. I have been on the waiting list now for almost 5 years and have been going to dialysis 3 times a week for that long as well.
It has been my daughter's wish now for quite some time that I receive a new kidney so I can play with her more. I would like to receive a kidney so I can spend more time with my family. I would also like to go back to college and become a dialysis nurse.
I cannot do this while I am on dialysis. My blood type is A+ and I am registered at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. My coordinator's name is Deborah Mangrum, and her telephone number is 615-343-0473. I look forward to hearing from someone soon and maybe we can become life-long friends!
